Text Box: лллллллллл As a third-generation Lavallette family, we have seen businesses come and go through our beloved town over the years along with our parents and grandparents. As such, we were quite skeptical of the arrival of The Music Man and its red striped awning. On a rainy day two summers ago (of course, not being able to go to the beach or fishing), we took our children to an imaginative performance at The Music Man, and have been "hooked" ever since. The Music Man encompasses many of the things we have always had here in Lavallette: A safe, fun, and simple way to spend your days with family and friends. Like a Fourth of July barbecue, everyone is always welcome and there is plenty of ice cream, yet one magical thing has been added: Music brought to life by artful performers and loving characters that can be enjoyed from the young to the very young at heart! As days go by, we see how marketing slogans try to "sell" towns along our shore, while Lavallette is a timeless tradition in our family. We do have one framed calligraphy-sentiment on our porch, "Once you get the sand between your toes, you always come back to Lavallette," however, a variation on this theme truly encompasses the spirit of The Music Man: "Once you get the rhythm in your toes, you always come back to Lavallette!" We look forward to the Christmas Cabaret event at The Music Man. Thank you for bringing an appropriate family fun venue to our town.
