The Concept:

• "Wow! We had such a good time. Is this a chain? Well, it should be."
• "Terrific...I only wish we could come all year round!"

These comments above are just some of the statements heard from attendees upon leaving the world of the Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe located in the small hamlet of Lavallette along the heart of the central New Jersey Shore. The Music Man is a popular destination that caters almost exclusively to temporary summer residents of Lavallette and neighboring shore towns. That is, until now…the Music Man marketplace is ready to expand and will do so exponentially almost overnight with just one IDEA!

During the Fall of 2004, Music Man, LLC, will proudly announce the inauguration of its latest production-"The Music Man Road Show", a self-contained mobile repertory performance unit that will have a capacity to move from town-to-town, city-to-city, and venue-to-venue within days' notice. It essentially will mimic the exact experience that the "brick & mortar" Music Man already presents. The road show, however, will be able to adapt to virtually any space, theater, or venue for any purpose.

What is the existing Music Man "experience"? Well, it basically consists of the following three essentials: 1.) Ice cream, 2.) Vivid, actual, and impromptu audience participation, and 3.) a Broadway-type cabaret. These three elements with the help of rolling ice cream coolers, portable glass & plate ware, stage lights, and a complete audio-visual system will come to life in the Music Man Road Show.

Generally speaking, the experience essentially lasts about 45-60 minutes and is led by a talented team of singing and improvisationally comedic servers. To begin with, just after they've presentationally introduced themselves to their guests, the servers commence the 30-45 minute "announcements" section of the show. The Announcements portion is a rapid-fire series of short individual and/or group "vignettes" that the guests perform as a prerequisite for receiving their ice cream treat. Upon capturing the audience's attention with the assistance of a music and/or light cue, the server will explain and teach the song, dance, cheer, (or whatever) to their respective guest who will then repeat it in their own style, rhythm, and spirit. Once the announcements are over, the show culminates in a 15-20 minute cabaret, which consists of a traditional emcee and most members of the Music Man cast. Provided that the event's schedule has been discussed ahead of time, this self-contained "experience" can be repeated as many times as the Music Man customer would like.

The New & Improved Music Man Marketplace:

The Road Show market most appropriately includes any individual or organized group that wishes to pragmatically utilize the show in one or more of the following capacities:

2. Private Events (Entertainment purposes only)
   a.) Bar-Mitzvahs
   b.) Weddings
   c.) Engagement parties
   d.) Sweet Sixteen
   e.) Birthday parties (50th, etc.)
3. Corporate Events (Entertainment purposes only)
4. Private & Public School Assembly (Non-academic & fun activity for students)

The Music Man Road Show offers individuals and groups not only a source of entertainment but potentially a source of revenue for those organizations who elect to utilize the show as an attendance draw and marketing strategy.
